¡Las Universidades Fantasticas!

Hispanic Business has for us an excellent list of law schools - a top 10, in fact - for Hispanic students.

You're probably thinking stupid thoughts like, "Uh, Harvard?  El Michigano?"

¡Incorrecto!

Among the top ten are NO traditional "T-14" schools; such "prestige" rankings are obviously culturally biased.

Instead, Hispanic Business advises that Hispanic students should look to more Hispanic-friendly schools such as:
1.  Florida International
...
4.  American University
5.  Nova Southeastern
...
8.  University of San Francisco
This makes sense.  Florida International is International, just like Puerto Rico!  American is a self-explanatory.  Nova has a Spanish word in its flirking name.  San Francisco has a city name that is entirely in Spanish.  Much more Hispanic-friendly than going to a "better" school with allegedly better employment results (which none of you believe, anyway, right?)

Continúe la estafa.

  1. It's sad to see Hispanic organizations attempt to steer young Latinos into third tier commodes and fourth tier trash pits. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the schools paid the organizations for such rankings or endorsements. After all, the higher "education" pigs are only in it for the federally-backed, student loan money. They don't give a damn about the students - especially unconnected, non-wealthy ones, inlcuding minorities.

    1. Maybe if you went to a better law school for Hispanic folk, you wouldn't be so bitter.

Do you ever start third tier reality if you go to Florida International?

  2. I don't know if these trashpits (they are all trashpits) bribed this magazine or not. But when selecting which schools to recommend they used three main criteria:

    Percent Hispanic graduate enrollment
Percent of J.D. degrees earned by Hispanics
Percent of law school Hispanic faculty

Bar passage rate, employment rate, median wage, median LSAT, debt figures, tuition rate - even US News ranking - all irrelevant. The only thing that matters, apparent, is what percentage of students and faculty is Hispanic. Just bizarre.

  3. I know that at least two of those academic outhouses (American and USF) have Hispanic deans. If you're getting scammed by your own Hispanic brothers and sisters, then the debt wont hurt nearly as much when it's time to pay.
