Tuition will still increase at 5% per year when the rate of inflation is zero so the student debt loads will be much larger relative to wages for the students graduating in 2018. And they will be competing for full time jobs with the many, many law graduates from years prior to 2018 who have been lucky enough to find part-time employment. Yes, the actual graduating class of 2018 may have fewer graduates from their own class competing for jobs, but there are likely to be fewer jobs and the majority of those jobs will be less secure and provide less compensation. There will probably be a legal equivalent of Uber ("Luber") where shit-law lawyers will now have to make house calls because the other guys are doing it.

And as I've written before, the race of law schools to provide practical experience and to increase the number of legal clinics only hurts the general civil and criminal attorneys in the same jurisdiction. Texas A&M lists 8 clinics.

As for Markovic employment assumptions, Texas A&M stats for the Class of 2014 state that there were 232 graduates and only 121 found full time, long term employment as an attorney. Of those 121, a total of 71 were employed in firms that were from solo to 10 attorneys. Only 3 graduates were employed in firms of over 100 attorneys. So Markovic should now tell us how he thinks these numbers for 2014 will improve in 2018.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2363936253583148153.post-20434381198373940112015-09-12T16:20:41.463-07:002015-09-12T16:20:41.463-07:00Markovic's TTT analysis relies on nothing more...Markovic's TTT analysis relies on nothing more than a series of idiotic assumptions.
